nopCommerce Performance

I've downloaded the nopCommerce (with SourceCode) and successfully build it. After successful compilation when I ran the application it takes to much time to get the first screen. The subsequent screens are also taking too much time.

Is there any performance test done on this? Is there any performance data sheet?

I like the software but the performance of the software make me think twice.

It's just your app domain loading up and loading any binaries into memory. Also, it's initializing static variables, so if you have a static variable that loads up a lot of data from the db, it might take a bit (source)
