Strange failed email message

Hi guys,

I am hoping you can help. For the past few months I have been seeing the following failed delivery messages in the main inbox used:

Could not deliver message to the following recipient(s):

Failed Recipient: [email protected]
Reason: Remote host said: 451 You have exceeded message receiving limit for user [email protected], and i will not accept any messages to this user within 1 minute

Has anyone else seen these and how do I prevent them?

The problem is on the recepient's end. Could be "ROBOTS" signing up newsletter. If you are having this with several different domains, then verify that those emails are for valid customers in your store. Then

1. Are you running your own SMTP for the store? If yes, verify your DNS is configured correctly. Verify that you can reach the recepients mail server (MX) from your smtp.

2. If you are not running your own SMTP then open up a trouble ticket with whomever you are relaying your email through.
